It's my personal blog!

Uh...I like video games...I like biology...I like whatever's in-between the two.

Other than that, I'm just a weirdo Vermonter like my sister (misscahtah.tumblr.com)

FuckYeaSonic 30 Day Sonic Challenge

Day 18. Got any Sonic merchandise?

Ah, a lot of keychains. Everyone always tells me I have too many keychains on my keyring. It does take me a long time to find the key I’m looking for so maybe they’re right. I’ve also got a bunch of those little capsule figures, because I kept trying to get Shadow. But after getting doubles of Super and normal Sonic I gave up on that…they’re pretty expensive! I’ve also got the 6 inch Shadow figure - courtesy of my best bro who basically gave me a package of Shadow merchandise for Christmas. And I’ve got little plushes of Shadow and Knuckles.

And, of course, he’s probably rather famous on this blog by now since I’m always talking about him, but I’ve got this precious one too:

And that’s about it. Ever since my sister gave me the above cutie for Christmas, I haven’t been that interested in collecting any other merchandise. Maybe if those damn Rouge plushes from SA2 weren’t so expensive…of course, once the US Sega store opens I’ll probably want it all….but for now I’m good.

Day 19. Your favorite piece of music (zone/act music, lyrical stuff, etc).

So many! I think one thing that everyone can agree on is that this series has some great music. I guess I’ll break it down into older and newer stuff, since I can’t pick just one.

Alright, from the older stuff, Marble Garden Zone and Hidden Palace from Sonic 3 & Knuckles are definitely favorites, along with Volcano Valley Zone from Sonic 3D Blast. Terrible game, amazing music. Stardust Speedway (Bad Future) from the US soundtrack of Sonic CD is also amazing (and the Generations remix rendered me speechless).

There’s actually not a song from what Generations considers the Dreamcast era that I’m really attached to. I might say Live and Learn, but that’s about it. Oh! And This Machine, if we’re counting Sonic Heroes as part of that era. Still, there are a lot of songs from the Advance games that are great too - Egg Rocket Zone, Angel Island Zone, Chaos Angel Zone, Hot Crater Zone, Cyber Track Zone….too many.

From the “Modern Era”, there’s Knight of the Wind and Live Life from Sonic and the Black Knight, Starlight Carnival and the Theme of Sonic Colours, Chosen One and Lost Impact from ShtH, Solaris Phase 2 from Sonic 2006, and the Network Menu Theme from Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing.

So yeah…too many to choose a favorite.
